Application of Nano metal Oxide Composite Hydrogel in Dye Wastewater Treatment

Abstract:

With the rapid development of the manufacturing industry, dye wastewater produced by the printing and dyeing industry has caused serious harm to the water environment. Among numerous dye wastewater treatment technologies, adsorption technology has low cost and high removal efficiency, making it a relatively economical and effective method in current dye wastewater treatment processes. The unique three-dimensional network and porous structure, strong plasticity and low cost of hydrogels make them more competitive in adsorption materials. The introduction of metal oxide nanoparticles into hydrogels can improve the mechanical properties, adsorption selectivity and adsorption efficiency of hydrogels, thus improving their dye wastewater treatment capacity. In this paper, the preparation methods of nano metal oxide composite hydrogels were summarized, and the applications of nano metal oxide composite hydrogels in dye wastewater treatment in the past five years were reviewed.
