Abstract:
Severe pneumonia is a high-risk and critical condition in clinical practice, with rapid progression, multiple complications, and high mortality rate. Traditional comprehensive treatment is difficult to quickly clear deep airway lesions, and cannot effectively improve diaphragmatic fatigue and ventilation dysfunction. Bronchoalveolar Lavage (BAL) can directly clear pulmonary alveolar inflammatory exudate, reduce pathogen load, and guide precise anti infection treatment, with both diagnostic and therapeutic value; Extracorporeal Diaphragm Pacing (EDP), as a non-invasive intervention, can enhance diaphragm contractility, alleviate respiratory muscle fatigue, improve ventilation efficiency and success rate of weaning. The application theory of the two can construct a comprehensive treatment model of "airway clearance+respiratory dynamics enhancement", providing a new direction for the treatment of severe pneumonia. This article provides a review of the mechanisms of action, clinical applications, research status, and prospects for combined use of two technologies, in order to provide evidence-based references for optimizing the treatment of severe pneumonia.
