Abstract:

Occupational burnout is a comprehensive psychological syndrome triggered by prolonged chronic work stress, which has been included in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) by the World Health Organization. Clinical nurses, due to long-term high workload, emotional labor, and interpersonal conflicts, constitute a high-risk group for occupational burnout. This paper systematically elaborates on the concept, current status, and multidimensional causes of nurse burnout, summarizes evidence-based interventions for individual, group, and organizational psychological support, and provides references for hospitals to establish a long-term mental health protection system for nurses.
