Abstract:
The development of new quality productive forces imposes fresh demands on the talent cultivation system in higher education. Specialty-innovation integrated education serves as the core vehicle linking university talent supply with industrial innovation needs. This study takes 30 stratified universities in Jiangxi Province as survey samples. Drawing on the CIPP theory, a four-dimensional evaluation index system for specialty-innovation education is constructed. Based on 308 valid student questionnaires and interview data from enterprises and teachers, the entropy-weight TOPSIS method is employed to calculate the comprehensive development index of specialty-innovation education. Multiple regression analysis is used to examine the driving effect of specialty-innovation education on new quality productive forces, and the differences in empowerment across industries are compared. The findings reveal that specialty-innovation education has a significant positive promoting effect on regional new quality productive forces. The empowerment effect exhibits industry heterogeneity: it demonstrates strong pulling effects on high-tech, non-ferrous metal, and service industries, whereas the empowering force on agriculture and energy industries is relatively weak. Accordingly, optimization paths are proposed from three dimensions—talent cultivation reform, institution-specific positioning, and government-industry-university-research collaboration—providing empirical evidence for the reform of specialty-innovation education in local universities and its alignment with the cultivation of regional new quality productive forces.
