Abstract:
Guangdong's "High-Quality Development Project for Counties, Towns and Villages" provides a real-world context for universities to serve county-level and rural development, while also opening up new space for higher vocational colleges to deepen practice-based education. Compared with research-oriented universities, the advantage of higher vocational colleges does not lie merely in providing theoretical solutions, but in mobilizing professional technologies, industrial experience, practical training resources, teachers, and students to engage with concrete issues in rural development. Taking Shenzhen Polytechnic University as a case, this paper examines how a higher vocational institution transforms social service into educational resources in the process of participating in the "Double Hundred Action." The study finds that Shenzhen Polytechnic University has developed an educational mechanism characterized by demand orientation, professional support, project-based integration, university-local collaboration, and value guidance. Its experience suggests that when higher vocational colleges serve rural talent revitalization, they should not remain at the level of short-term assistance or activity-based display. Instead, they should transform the real needs of counties, towns, and villages into curriculum content, practical projects, and student development tasks, thereby cultivating compound technical and skilled talents who understand industries, master technologies, are willing to serve rural areas, and possess a strong sense of social responsibility.
