Abstract:
As intelligent manufacturing and the digital economy reshape occupational competency requirements, vocational institutions face growing pressure to prepare digital-intelligent applied professionals. A logical paradox often arises regarding how business and accounting schools can cultivate professionals for the "front lines" of modern industry. This study resolves this by redefining the "front line" as the data-driven supply chain and the business-finance integration interface. Focusing on Hainan Vocational University of Science and Technology (HVUST), this exploratory study investigates how artificial intelligence (AI) agents can be incorporated into vocational training. Drawing on a survey of 127 vocational institutions and an institutional case analysis at HVUST's School of Accounting, the study identifies core challenges such as misaligned objectives, disconnected practice, and shallow industry-education integration. In response, it develops a four-stage framework (perception, decision-making, execution, and iteration) linking competency goals, a three-module curriculum, and an intelligent collaborative platform. The study contributes a practice-oriented model demonstrating how AI agents can bridge the gap between traditional business education and modern digital-industrial scenarios.
