A Study on Pathways for Enhancing the Competencies of Accounting Professionals through Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration
Jia Shuhui

Abstract:
Against the dual backdrop of national policies supporting the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, as well as the digital transformation of the accounting and finance industry, the issue of "talent mismatch" caused by traditional accounting and finance talent development models has become increasingly prominent, and market demand for multidisciplinary accounting and finance professionals continues to grow. Drawing on case studies of industry-academia-research collaboration in Hebei Province, this study employs methods such as questionnaire surveys to investigate 94 corporate finance and accounting professionals, as well as faculty and students in finance and accounting programs at universities. It analyzes the current status of finance and accounting talent development from the perspective of industry-academia-research collaboration. Starting from the establishment of a collaborative system involving government, enterprises, universities, and research institutions, the study proposes an optimized pathway for enhancing the competencies of finance and accounting professionals based on industry-academia-research collaboration.
