Abstract:
White jade comes from wild Houttuynia cordata. After tissue culture, single plant selection, and underground stem asexual reproduction, it was expanded and domesticated for breeding. Its outstanding advantages include: firstly, significant increase in yield, with an average yield of 34500 kg·hm-2 in the regional trial of Houttuynia cordata varieties in Hunan Province, which is 12.5% higher than the control; Secondly, the content of the main chemical components in the volatile oil is also higher than that of the control; Thirdly, it has good comprehensive resistance, especially high resistance to white silk disease. Approved and registered by the Hunan Provincial Variety Approval Committee in May 2013.
