Application Research of Activated Carbon in Deep Treatment of Industrial Wastewater

Abstract:

Activated carbon, as an adsorbent material with special structure and excellent performance, has shown significant advantages in the deep treatment of industrial wastewater due to its huge specific surface area, rich pore structure, and unique surface chemical properties. It can effectively adsorb various pollutants in wastewater, reduce pollutant concentration, and achieve discharge standards or recycling of wastewater. Based on this, this article first provides an overview of activated carbon, followed by an analysis of its mechanism of action in the deep treatment of industrial wastewater. On this basis, the characteristics of different types of challenges of activated carbon adsorption in the field of deep treatment of industrial wastewater are further proposed. Finally, the development trend of activated carbon in the field of deep treatment of industrial wastewater is elaborated, in order to break through existing challenges, expand the application prospects of activated carbon in deep treatment of industrial wastewater, and provide strong support for achieving efficient and environmentally friendly treatment of industrial wastewater.
