Research on the Application of Big Data in Urban Traffic Congestion Management

Abstract:

With the continuous acceleration of urbanization, the size of cities is constantly expanding, population density is rapidly rising, and the number of motor vehicles is also showing explosive growth. These changes have profoundly changed the pattern of urban transportation, with traffic congestion problems following closely behind, bringing many challenges to residents' lives and urban development. Starting from an overview of urban traffic congestion, this article then elaborates on the application foundation and advantages of big data in the field of urban transportation. Based on this, it analyzes the specific application of big data in urban traffic congestion management from multiple dimensions, and further explains the application difficulties and response strategies of big data in urban traffic congestion management, in order to improve traffic management efficiency and urban traffic operation level, and provide strong support for the sustainable development of urban transportation.
