Abstract:

With the widespread application and participation of big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence technologies in various fields of society, the digital age has quietly arrived. The emerging concept of the metaverse (Metaverse) is timely and has emerged as a new application, envisioning a grand worldview of the future evolution of the internet. The metaverse is a network application and social form that integrates multiple new virtual and real technologies. It will be built on three core technologies: digital twins, reality, and blockchain, with virtual reality, three-dimensional social networks, and an independent economic system serving as the foundation of its social structure. This integration fuses the virtual world with the real world, allowing every user to create and edit content. At the same time, the real society needs to be tolerant of the still-growing metaverse, implementing principles primarily based on self-governance with legal governance as a supplement, granting the virtual society the power for autonomous development. Looking at the present and envisioning the future, the technological innovation and development of the metaverse cannot rely solely on market forces but also requires guidance from foreign practices, national regulation, and laws and regulations.
