Abstract：

The report of the 20th CPC National Congress emphasizes the need to accelerate the development of the digital economy and promote its deep integration with the real economy, while also advancing people- centered new-type urbanization. Empowering the development of new-type urbanization through the digital economy is an essential path for promoting high-quality economic development. Driven by the global wave of technological revolution and industrial transformation, the digital economy has become a core force driving economic and social development. The rapid development of new-generation information technologies, such as big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, is profoundly changing people's production and lifestyles, and also bringing unprecedented opportunities and challenges to new-type urbanization construction. Meanwhile, China's new-type urbanization has entered a stage of high-quality development, emphasizing people-orientation, green and low-carbon practices, and smart and efficient operations. The deep integration of digital technology and urbanization can drive industrial upgrading in cities, foster new business forms and models, and create more high-quality jobs. It can also promote inclusive and shared public services and improve residents' quality of life. Against this backdrop, in-depth research on how the digital economy can empower newtype urbanization construction and exploring the paths and mechanisms for their coordinated development holds significant theoretical value and practical importance for promoting the quality of urbanization in China and achieving sustainable economic and social development.
