Abstract：

In recent years，the application of slow-release fertilizer in Chinese agricultural production has increased year by year. Slow release fertiliz⁃ er can not only improve the utilization rate of fertilizer，but also can effectively reduce fertilization times，regulating soil microbial environ⁃ ment，save time and labor，great convenience for later use.This paper analyzes and summarizes the application status，preparation technolo⁃ gy and regulation mechanism of slow-release fertilizer，and the sustainable development of slow-release fertilizer is prospected，it provides reference for further development and utilization of slow-release fertilizer.
