Abstract:
Objective: To explore the relationship between acupoint nature and the depth of acupuncture. Method: Based on the diversity and hierarchical characteristics of the meridian system, this study explores the relationship between acupuncture depth and acupoint characteristics from various aspects such as ancient and modern deep and shallow needling methods, the impact of different deep and shallow needling methods on acupoint characteristics, and modern clinical research. Result: The depth of acupuncture is related to acupoint properties, and different depths of acupuncture can exert different acupoint effects and mobilize different performance. Conclusion: Clarifying the effect of acupuncture depth on acupoint performance provides reference for the selection of clinical acu‐ puncture depth and provides ideas for improving the accuracy of acupuncture effect.
