Abstract:

Tumors represent a major global public health challenge. Conventional radiotherapy and chemotherapy, due to their lack of specificity, not only kill tumor cells but also readily damage normal tissues, leading to limited efficacy and significant adverse effects. Novel targeted drugs, centered on molecular targets unique to tumor cells, leverage the advantages of precise identification, high-efficiency killing, low toxicity, and good tolerability, propelling tumor therapy into a new era of precision medicine. This article systematically elaborates on the definition, classification, and development history of novel targeted drugs, deeply analyzes their core mechanisms in treating tumors, including the basic principles of targeted therapy, the action pathways of different drug types, and their interaction with the tumor microenvironment. It details their clinical application scenarios in common tumors, standardized treatment regimens, and efficacy evaluation criteria. Finally, based on current research status, conclusions are drawn and future development directions are prospected, providing theoretical reference and practical guidance for the rational application of clinical tumor targeted therapy and subsequent research.
