Abstract:
With the continuous aging of the population in China, the phenomenon of comorbidity (coexistence of two or more chronic diseases) among elderly patients is becoming increasingly prominent. Multi drug use has become a clinical norm, and the rationality of drug treatment plans directly affects the treatment efficacy, safety prognosis, and quality of life of patients. This article is based on the clinical characteristics of comorbidities in the elderly and the core requirements for drug treatment. It systematically analyzes the impact of comorbidities on drug metabolism, efficacy, and safety. From the five core dimensions of efficacy, safety, economy, applicability, and standardization, it clarifies the rational evaluation criteria for drug treatment plans for elderly comorbidities patients, sorts out the evaluation points and practical ideas, and provides theoretical support and practical reference for optimizing drug treatment decisions for elderly comorbidities patients, reducing medication risks, and improving diagnosis and treatment quality in clinical practice.
