Abstract:

Colorectal cancer represents one of the most prevalent malignant tumors in the digestive system, and chemotherapy remains a core component in comprehensive clinical treatment regimens for this disease. Chemotherapy resistance has become a key factor that limits the long‑term efficacy of chemotherapy and affects patient prognosis. This study systematically summarizes the main mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer, including drug efflux, DNA damage repair, cell cycle regulation disorders, apoptosis escape, tumor microenvironment abnormalities, and epithelial‑mesenchymal transition. On this basis, the study focuses on the combined therapeutic strategies for reversing chemotherapy resistance, such as the combination of chemotherapy drugs with targeted drugs, immunotherapeutic drugs, and traditional Chinese medicine active ingredients. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive theoretical basis and practical reference for improving the clinical efficacy of chemotherapy in colorectal cancer patients and optimizing the treatment plan, so as to further promote the development of treatment technology for colorectal cancer chemotherapy resistance. The research content will help to clarify the direction of follow-up research on colorectal cancer chemotherapy resistance and provide new ideas for the development of more effective therapeutic schemes.
