Abstract:
Against the backdrop of the deep integration of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, the development of Emerging Engineering Education (EEE) has become the core direction for the reform and development of engineering programs in universities. Its core demand is to cultivate compound engineering talents with innovative abilities, practical skills, and interdisciplinary competencies. Currently, numerous shortcomings still exist in the curriculum systems of engineering programs in Chinese universities, such as fragmented curriculum modules, content lagging behind industrial needs, a monolithic teaching model, and a rigid evaluation system, making it difficult to meet the talent cultivation requirements of EEE. Based on the core connotations of EEE construction, this paper clarifies the principles, objectives, and core orientations of curriculum system reconstruction, systematically designs the reconstruction pathways and content, and formulates practical, implementable, and optimizable plans by drawing on pilot experience from university practices. Through module reconstruction, content optimization, teaching adaptation, evaluation innovation, and practical adjustments, it aims to solve the pain points and difficulties of the traditional curriculum system, providing theoretical support and practical reference for the reform of engineering program curriculum systems in universities, promoting the synergetic development of engineering education and industry, and enhancing the quality of talent cultivation and graduate employability.
