Abstract:
In the current era of rapid technological advancement in digital media, the creative forms, modes of dissemination, and aesthetic paradigms of animation art are undergoing profound transformations. Digital media not only provides animation with highly efficient production tools but also reshapes its narrative logic, visual language, and methods of emotional expression, endowing animated works with greater immersion, dramatic tension, and emotional impact. At the same time, the creative logic, technical systems, and audience markets of film and television arts are increasingly converging with those of animation. The visual imagination of animation and the documentary-style narrative of film and television mutually reinforce one another, becoming a significant trend in the development of contemporary audiovisual arts. Currently, however, animation still faces issues such as weak expression and a tendency for form to outweigh content in areas like the construction of dramatic conflict, character development, and pacing. Its integration with film and television arts often remains limited to technical superimposition, lacking a deeper narrative and aesthetic unity. Against this backdrop, this paper examines the theoretical framework of the integration of animated dramatic expression with film and television in the digital media era. It analyzes the shift toward dramatic expression in animated art during this era and explores optimal pathways for the integration of animated dramatic expression with film and television. The aim is to enhance the narrative quality and artistic value of animated art while providing theoretical references and practical insights for the deep integration of animation and film.
