A Review of Sentiment Analysis in the Field of Public Safety

Abstract：

The occurrence of public safety emergencies leads to the spread of emotions across social media and among the general public; whether this takes the form of a rallying of positive sentiment or the risk of negative sentiment, it has a significant impact on social stability that cannot be overlooked. In light of this, this paper presents a systematic review of the application of sentiment analysis technology in public safety governance, examining and discussing its application scenarios, technical methods and mechanisms of action. The aim is to systematically analyse the suitability of sentiment analysis for specific scenarios, the effectiveness of its methods and the rationality of its mechanisms within the field of public safety governance, thereby providing theoretical references and practical insights for the development of sentiment analysis-driven intelligent public safety systems.
