Research on UAV Base Station Site Selection and Transmission Path Planning for Post-Disaster Emergency Communications

Abstract:

This study focuses on the critical demand for emergency communications in extreme disaster scenarios where ground-based communication infrastructure is completely destroyed. Addressing the core deficiencies of traditional site-selection methods—namely, insufficient consideration of disaster uncertainty and inadequate survivability of transmission paths—this paper constructs a collaborative optimization model for UAV base station site selection and transmission paths that is adapted to complex post-disaster operating conditions, grounded in the fundamental principles of resilience-first, timeliness-optimal, and multi-objective robustness. The model embeds constraints including secondary disaster risk avoidance, multi-node topological survivability, and dynamic traffic adaptation into the optimization framework, thereby breaking through the path dependency of conventional communication planning based on static scenarios and achieving synergistic improvement across multiple objectives: deployment efficiency, coverage resilience, and transmission stability. The findings of this research can provide theoretical support and methodological references for the rapid construction of post-disaster emergency communication networks, and are of significant practical importance for enhancing emergency communication support capabilities under extreme disasters.
