Abstract:
The advent of the artificial intelligence era not only provides technical support for solving global challenges but also exacerbates the complexity and cross-domain characteristics of these issues. Global topics such as climate change, public health emergencies, and AI ethics controversies mostly go beyond the scope of a single discipline and require the in-depth integration of multidisciplinary thinking. Against this backdrop, "super-individuals" with interdisciplinary literacy (cognitive integrators) and "super-teams" composed of top experts in various fields have become two core subjects to address these challenges. Based on the underlying structure of thinking logic and combined with empirical comparative research, this paper demonstrates the unique advantages of interdisciplinary super-individuals in mastering the underlying thinking paradigms of multiple disciplines and realizing the cross-integration of interdisciplinary thinking. It points out that these advantages enable super-individuals to have incomparable efficiency and depth over super-teams when addressing global problems that require systematic breakthroughs.
