Abstract:
Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology has emerged as a transformative tool in architectural education, fostering innovation in teaching methodologies and aligning with the evolving demands of the construction industry. This paper explores the integration of BIM technology into architectural education, focusing on its role in enhancing teaching practices, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and cultivating industry-ready talent. Drawing on the principles of "new engineering" education, this study examines the construction of a comprehensive BIM curriculum system, the application of BIM in smart construction environments, and the incorporation of emerging technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence. Through case studies and practical teaching reforms, the paper highlights the effectiveness of BIM in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The findings underscore the importance of industry-academia collaboration, dual-line teaching models, and competency-based learning in optimizing BIM education. By addressing current challenges and proposing innovative solutions, this study provides valuable insights into the development of a forward-looking, technology-driven architectural education system.
