Abstract:

The international communication of Huxiang Culture constitutes a vital component of the Chinese culture "Going Global" strategy. However, insufficient competence in publicity translation has emerged as a critical factor constraining the quality of its dissemination. Grounded in Eco-translatology as the core theory and informed by college-level foreign language teaching practices, this paper defines key concepts, systematically examines the current state, achievements, and challenges in cultivating Huxiang Culture publicity translation competence, and constructs a four-dimensional enhancement pathway comprising "translation strategy optimization, classroom system reconstruction, integration of practice with ideological and political education, and guidance model upgrading." The study confirms that the "three-dimensional transformation" method inherent in Eco-translatology effectively addresses cultural adaptation challenges in publicity translation, while diversified practical platforms enable the synergistic improvement of students' translation skills and cultural literacy. The findings offer a replicable practical framework for advancing the international outreach of Huxiang Culture and reforming foreign language instruction in higher education institutions.
