Comparing the Semantic Differences of the Word "White" in English and Chinese from a Cultural Perspective

Abstract:
For both Chinese and Western ethnic groups, colors have the same visual effect. However, when we view color words from a cultural perspective, their connotations and pragmatic meanings reflect the homogeneity and heterogeneity of Chinese and Western ethnic cultures. This article takes "white" as an example to analyze its connotative meanings in different cultures.
