Exploration and Research on University English Teaching Models for Science and Engineering Majors under the OBE Paradigm

Abstract:

Based on the OBE (Outcome-Based Education) paradigm, this paper conducts an in-depth exploration and research on university English teaching models for science and engineering majors. The paper first elaborates on the core essence of the OBE philosophy and its practical value in English instruction for science and engineering majors, then analyzes the existing issues and challenges in current English teaching for these majors. Finally, it proposes strategies for constructing a university English teaching model for science and engineering majors guided by the OBE philosophy.
