Abstract:
Career planning education, as an important component of basic education to promote the all-round development of students, is significant for junior high school students in forming self-awareness and clarifying development directions. The urban-rural fringe, as a special geographical space in the process of urbanization, presents junior high school students with a more complex growth environment and development challenges compared to urban students, making the lack of career planning education particularly prominent. This paper, based on Super's career development theory and the strengths perspective theory, and combined withpractical research conducted at D Middle School in Jinan, demonstrates the necessity of implementing career planning education for junior high school students in the urban-rural fringe from three dimensions: policy background, theoretical basis, and practical demand. Furthermore, it explores the feasibility from three levels: professional methods, resource integration, and operational pathways. The study finds that group work, as a structured and interactive professional service method, can effectively meet the developmental needs of junior highschool students in the urban-rural fringe, playing a positive role in self-awareness, career exploration, goal planning, andcareer self-efficacy, providing a feasible path for the localization of career planning education in the basic education stage.
