Research on the Impact of School Digital Resources on the Reading Literacy of Middle School Students ——An Empirical Analysis Based on PISA 2022

Abstract:

Reading literacy is of great significance to the cognitive and physical and mental health development of middle school students. Under the background of the integrated development of information technology and secondary education, the use of digital resources in schools has become one of the elements that shape the reading literacy of middle school students. Based on the data of the 2022 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), the study verified the school's digital resources (students' accessibility and usage time) formiddle school students. The influence of reading literacy. The results show that the use of digital resources in schools has a role in promoting the reading literacy of middle school students. The analysis of the differenceinthe gender dimension of middle school students shows that the reading literacy of girls is higher thanthat of boys for the use of digital resources in schools. The conclusion of this study is enlightening for the differentiated impact of digital resources among different student groups.
