Abstract:

Adolescence is a critical period for individuals' physical and mental development. As an essential component of health education, sex education is directly linked to the healthy growth and personality development of teenagers. Although adolescent sex education in China has a certain historical background, its development has been sluggish, facing dual dilemmas of prominent supply-demand imbalance and poor implementation. By analyzing the current situation of adolescent sex education in China, this paper points outexisting problems including conservative concepts, one-sided content and fragmented education systems. On this basis, the study proposes to transform traditional mindsets and establish the concept that sex education is a basic human right. It also advocates building a three-in-one collaborative education mechanism integrating families, schools and society. Additionally, by cultivating professional teachers and setting up phasedcourses, this paper explores optimized paths for adolescent sex education suited to China’s national conditions, aimingtoprovide theoretical and practical references for teenagers to get through this "risk period" smoothly.
