Research on the Investigation of Pragmatic Competence and Teaching Strategies among College English Learners in the Context of International Communication

Abstract:

After "telling China's stories" became a national strategy, college English courses aim to build international communication capabilities. Pragmatic competence, key for cross-cultural resonance, has been neglected. Based on research, this paper proposes a "POCA" strategy, transforming English into an "international communication literacy course."
