Abstract:

The idea of a community with a shared future for mankind is a key new idea of 21st-century Marxism. It gives a deep answer to a big question of our time: “where is the world heading.” Drawing on the comprehensive framework of Marxist community theory, this research explores how this concept has evolved in contemporary contexts. By constructing a three-dimensional analytical framework of “theoretical basis-practical needs-development prospects”, this paper reveals the internal logical connection between the two from threelevels: theoretical origin, practical motivation and epochal value. The study finds that Marxist community thoughttakes production practice as its realistic basis, dialectically grasps the relationship between individuals and the community, and takes the “genuine community” as its value goal, which has significant advantages over Western theoretical paradigms. Because of this theory, the idea of a community with a shared future for mankind has changed with the times from “class subject” to “human subject”, from “revolutionary logic” to “development logic”, and from “ultimate goal” to “process construction", showing far-reaching epochal value in three dimensions: theoretical innovation, global governance and mutual learning among civilizations. This studybelieves that the idea of a community with a shared future for mankind is the present-day formof the “genuinecommunity.” And it is a model for changing and growing Marxist community theory in a new way. Also, it gives Chinese wisdom to help change how the world is run and to build a new kind of human civilization.
