The Application and Enlightenment of Metacognitive Theory in English Reading Teaching

Abstract:

Based on the research results of metacognitive theory, this paper discusses the application and enlightenment of metacognitive theory in English reading teaching. The discussion shows the metacognitive strategy training in English reading teaching not only improves the students’ reading level, but also cultivatestheir self-study ability.
