Research on the Reform Path of Translation Teaching for English Majors in Colleges and Universities in the AI Era

Abstract:

The iterative popularization of artificial intelligence has reshaped the translation mode of the language service industry, and human-machine collaboration has become the mainstream of translation work, posing new reform requirements for translation teaching in English majors in universities. The current traditional translation teaching in universities has problems such as fixed modes, lack of practical training, insufficient gradients, lagging technological integration, and a single evaluation system, making it difficult for the talents trainedtomeet the job demands of the intelligent era industry. This article is based on the background of the construction of new liberal arts and the digital transformation of education, combined with the theoretical and practical basisof AI empowering translation teaching. In response to the existing difficulties in teaching, a three-dimensional reform path of "AI empowerment, layered training, scenario implementation, and humanistic adherence"isconstructed. By building a three-level progressive intelligent training system, reconstructing teachingcontent, innovating teaching models, improving diversified evaluation, strengthening teacher and ethical education construction, translation teaching is promoted to transform towards intelligence, practicality, and layering. Thisstudy can provide practical reference for the reform of translation teaching in English majors in the newera, and helpcultivate compound translation talents who possess technical literacy, translation ability, and humanistic literacy.
