Research on Growth and Motivation Mechanisms for Young University Teachers from the Perspective of Science and Technology Empowerment

Abstract:
Young faculty members constitute the core reserve force of university teaching staff and serveaspivotal agents in driving high-quality development of higher education and advancing scientific research innovation. Research empowerment offers a novel paradigm for the professional growth of young universityfaculty, transcending the limitations of traditional development models. Based on the core principles of research empowerment, this paper examines existing challenges in current research development and incentive mechanisms for young faculty members. Considering their distinct career characteristics, it proposes a scientificand systematic growth incentive framework encompassing four dimensions: research resource support, platform facilitation, evaluation enhancement, and institutional safeguards. The aim is to address barriers toyoungfaculty's research advancement, stimulate their innovative potential and intrinsic motivation, and provide theoretical insights and practical pathways for strengthening university teaching teams and ensuring sustainable development of academic research endeavors.
