Abstract:

Against the backdrop of the "dual carbon" goals and the practical requirements of building conservation-oriented campuses, textbook recycling in higher education institutions is of great significance for alleviating students' financial burdens and improving the utilization efficiency of educational resources. Currently, textbook recycling in higher education institutions is still dominated by scattered offline transactions, with problems such as information asymmetry, low circulation efficiency, non-standardized management, and insufficient safety of use, making it difficult to establish a stable and sustainable operating model. The external environment for textbook recycling in higher education institutions was systematically analyzed using the PEST analysis method, and students' willingness to participate and behavioral characteristics were empirically analyzed in conjunction with questionnaire survey data (N = 174). On this basis, a digital textbook recycling platform based on a WeChat mini-program was constructed, and a standardized operational system covering textbook collection, quality inspection, disinfection, classification and coding, online reservation, offline delivery, and point incentives was designed. The study shows that digital means can effectively overcome the information barriers and management dilemmas in traditional models, standardize textbook circulation processes, and improve the efficiency of resource allocation. This study provides a replicable practical path and theoretical reference for higher education institutions to promote green campus construction and optimize educational resource management.
